Born into a Swiss/Dutch family, Philippe was raised across Europe thereby becoming fluent in English, German, French, Italian and Dutch.  He has resided in Asia for the past 18 years.

He began his professional career at Credit Suisse in Zurich before he was asked to establish in Asia the Institutional Client Desk across Singapore and Hong Kong. Upon its successful set up, Philippe joined HSBC Private Bank in Singapore to create a new Market in Asia focusing on EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) which covered HNWI, UHNWI and Family Offices requesting exposure to jurisdiction and investment opportunities in Asia & Pacific.

In 2008, Philippe was called to ING PB Asia, known today as Bank of Singapore. He was responsible for launching and managing the International Market from scratch, which he split into 3 main regions: Europe/UK, the CIS (former Soviet Union) and the B2B market (SFO, PTC, EAM, IPB). Philippe oversaw teams in Singapore, Hong Kong and London to accommodate the clients’ various service needs and provide the right expertise and access to the markets.

Over the years, having developed an understanding of the needs and complexities of large families and investors to source the best deals in the market, Philippe visualized a platform which would better serve them, and the independent multi-family office and asset management firm Pangaea Wealth was born.
